TWISTED SISTER ATC Theme COMFORT FOOD

The theme for this ATC exchange was comfort food. Not just the food, but also where you might eat this food. So for my ATC I stamped a bee hive and embossed it in gold to look like honey was dripping out of it. As a child in Germany, my Oma's neighbor keep bees in his yard. When we used to walk our dog passed his house, he would invite us in. If he was working with the bee hives during honey harvest, we always went home with a jar of golden goodness for our breakfast rolls. I can close my eyes and still remember the sweet smell of honey surrounded by smoky overtones to keep the bees confused...memories are a good thing. My grandson Cole love to have honey in his afternoon tea...he always asks for a spoonful just to pop into his mouth! Honey is the only food that will never spoil...they found some in the tombs of the ancient Egyptians.

FAIRIES< VINTAGE SEWING and BLACK&WHITE PHOTO ATC

I made my FAIRY ATC into a little stage so it can stand on it's own. It has sides and a little overhang. The fairy is removable so you can try to se the MAGIC EYE image behind her. It is not easy to see it....not everyone can. You must focus your eyes on the image and hope that through the magic of believing in faires it will allow you to fall inside the layers of depth. I count at least four of them stacked up on top of one another like a stage set ready to change sceens between acts. The folding to get it to fit inside the sleve...

My BLACK&WHITE Photo ATC...

I love this stamp because the lady looks like my mother

and a kitty I used to have as a child at Oma's house in Bavaria. My Vintage Sewing ATC's

LORRAINES'S BUTTERFLY ATC'S

To welcome the renewal of spring, my friend Lorraine Layne sent me this trio of butterfly ATC's. There is so much detail to discover on each tiny card. The dry embossing, the punched border, the metal charm, the rolled paper butterfly (how enchanting is that!), the playing card as a back on one ATC and the black felt wing so perfectly created with scrolls...how ever did you do that Lorraine? Thank you for the beauty in there tiny masterpieces...

TWISTED COMFORT FOOD

My ATC Club The Twisted Sisters had the theme comfort food this quarter...Camille Sahm loves lamb chops, Suzanne Saupe loves cherries and Lorian Baker loves lobster, champagne, and chocolates served over lace by a white tie waiter...my kind of women to start off the year in a champagne glass!
